Well, 2019 didn't end quite as planned, but I did get to see two of my favorite people in Cedar Falls, Iowa and spent a weekend in Branson, MO with the family. It was enjoyable and a great way to round out 2019.
In Cedar Falls, I hung out with my friends Errin and Brian. We started the weekend with dinner and the drinks at Bar Winslow, after Errin and I walked around the historic downtown area stopping at Stam for chocolate. We spent Saturday at the winter farmers market in Des Moines, Sunday was movie day and pizza at Urban Pie - crab rangoon pizza was YUM. Monday, Errin and I had a delicious frittata and lattes at Cup of Joe. It was a MUCH needed weekend away.
The family weekend in Branson started with Dolly Parton's Stampede - CHRISTMAS EDITION!! It was fun, especially seeing all the nieces and nephews enjoying it. Friday, the main event was Silver Dollar City, which is always magical during the holidays, all the lights. Saturday we spent most of the day at the outlet mall and ended the night at The Landing. It was a fun weekend, even if I was feeling well.
Overall, the end of 2019 was fun and I got to ring in 2020 with two of my sisters and my niece, so it was pretty great.
